PokerStars Festival Bucharest: Guarantee smashed with Day 1C still to come

It's official; the €500,000 guarantee placed on the PokerStars Festival Bucharest has been eclipsed, and we've still got a whole other Day 1 flight to go!

We were only three levels into today's play (Day 1B) when the number of entrants confirmed it. Another three levels later, registration came to a close and the total players for today clocked in at 401. Add that to yesterday's 177 entrants, and you can see why everyone's happy.

One happy dude

The reason we can't bring you the prize pool yet though, is because there's still the little matter of a turbo Day 1C tonight, which kicks off at 10pm local time. It's only open to players who played and busted either Day 1A or 1B, meaning it's last chance saloon for those guys and gals.

One player who'll definitely be back for a second bullet tonight is Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker, who busted out of the Main Event after just an hour of play. We spoke to him earlier - check out that interview here.

And while you're at it, why not check out our interview with Sam Grafton too? You'll find that here.

Busy busy busy on Day 1B

While some of those included an additional Day 1 flight, you can see these final-shot flights are very popular when compared with the other Day 1 fields. It's going to be an exciting night of play for sure.

But now our attention turns back to Day 1B. There are only a couple of levels on the night now, so stay tuned to find out the big stacks and notable names to either make it through or bust.
