APPT Macau: What are the Chan-ces?

The assembled media here at the APPT Macau, have made much of the presence of two particular players; Johhny “Not Terrence” Chan, and Terrence “Not Johnny” Chan, and we’re not about to stop now! In an interesting quirk of fate, or random chan-ce, both players have been drawn together like magnets, and are sitting side-by-side at the same table. Neither Chan made much of a splash in the APPT Macau main event, and will need to work very hard to make it through this quality field to the money. Let fortunes fall where they may... or as Team PokerStars Pro player, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier may say in his native French tongue... "Bonne Chan-ce!" ("Good luck!")

Terrence Chan and Johhny Chan, pocket Chans!

With a deep stack of 20,000 for each player, the atmosphere in the Grand Waldo casino tournament area is reasonably relaxed, with players happily chatting to each other and wandering around between hands. David Steicke just wandered past the blogging table and remarked he’d just been dealt aces for the first time in four days of tournament poker. “I won the blinds,” Steicke said happily, “I’ve been cracking other player’s aces all week, I thought it was bound to happen to me.”
