EPT Barcelona: Chad Brown eliminated
Team PokerStars Pro Chad Brown has stared misfortunate in the face today, and it was pocket jacks looking back at him, a hand he's had twice today and lost with both times.
Brown moved in with the hooks, with Daniele Mazzia calling with K-Q for a pre-flop 400K battle royale. The first card out of the deck stung Brown, a single queen that would prove enough to send the Team Pro to the rail.
Chad Brown eliminated
Earlier on it had been Andrey Chesnokov busting first. Arriving here as the short stack on the day, the Russian disappeared from the cramped confines of the now much smaller tournament area, like a corral surrounded by a wall of press and spectators.
Over on table one, from what I could see from the rail Martin Nielsen's sudden intake of breath, and slow exhale to follow, he'd just doubled up. The Dane watched his Q-7 overcome Gavin Fintan's pocket nines when a seven hit the flop and a second hit the turn.
Mauro Corsetti is also out. The Italian's short stack left him with no choice but to push and to ultimately bust out in 32nd place.
