EPT Barcelona: You win some, you win some more

Poker's reputation as a volatile game is a given. Chip leaders can become the latest name on the list of bust outs in a flash, just as the tail end Charlie of the day can vault dozens to take an unexpected lead.

Two hours later though and all that has changed, with the Brazilian pro now partly obscured by a stack worth more than 100,000.

Steven Chidwick has also seen a rise in his fortunes. Starting the day on around 60,000 Chidwick has broken the six-figure barrier, amassing more than 100,000 whilst sitting on Akkari's table, quickly making a reputation for himself in live play as well as in the virtual qualifying world.
