EPT London: Day 1b bullet-point bulletin No1

We're back to the Vic for this second day of the EPT London event. As yesterday, we can't be sure of the total number of runners until they stop taking alternates at the end of level two. But it's fair to assume that we'll be getting somewhere near 300 again, giving about 600 in total, over these two days. Also...

There are some spectacular match-ups on the tables today, including:

  • Sportsmen showdown: The former France international footballer Vikash Dhorasoo against the Brazilian racing car driver Gualter Salles
  • Online sensations (and Million Dollar Man): Hevad "914 consecutive sit-n-goes" Khan alongside Stephen "14,119 PokerStars satellite packages" Chidwick, alongside David "Chino" Rheem.
  • EPT specialists: Last year's EPT London runner-up Florian Langman, opposite Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier
  • Seasoned campaigners I: PokerStars player Keith "The Camel" Hawkins next to Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein
  • Seasoned campaigners II: Scandinvian Godfather of Poker Thor Hansen, next to legendary poker author Tony Holden
  • Table of certain death great interest: Phil Ivey, Noah Boeken, Danny Ryan, Praz Bansi, Gunnar Rabe
  • Quote of the level: "I want to go to Madame Tussauds" - Hafiz Khan's grinning companion is possibly not quite as sympathetic as he'd like following what seemed to be a very early bust out for the PCA runner-up
