EPT London: Day two - bullet-point bulletin No1

Today's EPT dinner is brought to you by chicken stir-fry and something brown with rice. The Friday night casino crowd are also in the house, adding a certain degree more excitement as the bubble approaches.

In other news:

  • Play is just entering level 14, where the blinds are 1,200-2,400 with a 300 ante. There are about 75 players left.
  • There's action across the entire room, but little pockets are more active than others and they tend to be the areas where the big stacks and the small stacks meet. Darrin Flint just had to lay one down when Andrea Benelli moved all in over the top of Flint's pre-flop raise. Then on the same table Paul Dack doubled up through the Cypriot player Theodoros Aidonopoulos with A-Q versus A-10.
  • The two monster stacks of the PokerStars qualifier Sorel Mizzi, who has more than 180,000, and the PokerStars Shooting Star Johannes Strassman, with close to 300,000, are sitting one seat away from another in the corner of the room. They're staying out of each other's way, but that hasn't stopped Max Pescatori gettting involved with Mizzi, taking down a small pot with 5-5 on a queen high board. Mizzi mucked.
  • Also on the Mizzi, Strassman, Pescatori table is the Team PokerStars Pro Vicky Coren, who spoke to the video bloggers earlier:
