EPT Warsaw: Champions to your left and your right
The draw has thrown together some pretty mean looking tables. EPT champions ElkY Grospellier and Arnaud Mattern contend with each other; Dario Minieri has Johannes Strassmann one way and Gino Alacqua the other while Katja Thater’s table features EPT London finalist Alan Smurfit and Andreas Krause.
Elsewhere more former champions have been drawn together; Peter Jepsen, a winner here two years ago, plays alongside the grand final winner of that season Gavin Griffin.
PokerStars sponsored player Johnny Lodden has already seen his fortunes slashed in half, getting his chips in on a flush draw only to run into a set of sixes. He's down to 18,000.
Play is in full swing in level eight, with blinds at 300-600 with a 75 ante.
