EPT8 Monaco: High Rollers, ladies and champions
Morning folks and welcome again to Monaco for the final day's action on season eight of the European Poker Tour. This, remember, is not just the Grand Final. It is the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final.
And it has come to this. After 13 main event champions, plus countless side events and High Roller titles, we only have one more day of freneticism remaining - but it will be quite a day.
At 1pm, over on EPT Live, champions past and present will contest the second annual Tournament of Champions.
There's a ladies' event also under way, with both Vanessa Selbst and Vicky Coren of Team PokerStars Pro in contention. Selbst is leading the way with 12 left.
Our focus, however, will primarily be on the final table of the €25,000 High Roller event, which has assembled quite the final table. Justin Bonomo has blazed through with a monster chip lead - much like he did in the €100,000 Super High Roller - and is joined again at the final table by the Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu.
Max Lykov is also there in the famous livery, but there will be plenty of eyes once more on Philip Gruissem as he sits down at his fifth High Roller final table of the season. That is utterly spectacular.
Here's how they will line up today.
Seat one - Philip Gruissem - 990,000
Seat two - Igor Kurganov - 1,288,000
Seat three - Daniel Negreanu - 660,000
Seat four - Justin Bonomo - 2,202,000
Seat five - Max Lykov - 271,000
Seat six - Artem Litvanov - 331,000
Seat seven - Noah Schwartz - 522,000
Seat eight - Nathan Schoo - 387,000
Play starts at noon, with a little left to run in level 21, where blinds are 10,000-20,000 with a 3,000 ante. That leaves quite a lot of play in this one yet.
You can follow all the play-by-play in the usual place, where chip-counts and payouts are also being updated. Refresh the page regularly to get the latest.
