EPT9 Prague: ElkY and others on the bubble

With the bubble approaching in Prague, all eyes will be on any player prepared to risk their tournament life and flirt with the prospect of going home with nothing.

In these situations, conventional wisdom is that the bigger stacks, or the players with bigger bankrolls, will ramp up the aggression. They care a little less about squeaking into the money than some of the qualifiers or recreational players and can therefore put the pressure on.

However, as Kristy Arnett puts it to Betrand "ElkY" Grospellier in the video interview below, this is hardly a new tactic. Pretty much everyone now knows that being aggressive on the bubble is the order of the day. ElkY, for instance, is today surrounded by Ramsi Jelassi, on his right, and Shannon Shorr on his left. So how does one proceed from here?

Over to ElkY...

By the way, here is how ElkY appeared to play Day 1A of EPT Prague. He said it was nothing to do with a bet or anything, but given the history of him and Eugene Katchalov (that's Ukraine's Eugene Katchalov), one wonders whether it was quite so innocent as ElkY's explanation that "I went to Ukraine recently and thought I would buy it."
