EPT10 London Day 1A: A packed schedule in the capital

Ever had a dinner where the starter was so good, you're now worried that the main course couldn't possibly match it? Ever tucked in to a sumptuous lobster claw and had fears about the fillet steak to come?

Well you're a fool, and so am I. Because it's fillet steak we're talking about here, not microwave horse-meat lasagne. The Super High Roller event at EPT London was (and still is) outstanding, but we're about to begin the £5,000 Main Event, and when did that ever let anyone down?

Play begins at noon BST from the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden. It's a £5,000+£250 affair and everyone will be seeking to match Ruben Visser's triumph from March this year. (We're having two EPT London events in the calendar year owing to some rejigging of the schedule.)

You've had the UKIPT, now it's time for EPT fun

Visser won £595,000 for beating 646 others, and there will be similar money on offer this week. We have Day 1A today, Day 1B tomorrow, then fly through Days 2-5 until we finish next Saturday. We'll be here from start to finish.

You are spoilt for choice today, though. There's the culmination of the Super High Roller, which will also feature on EPT Live from 1pm. There's the final table of the whopping UKIPT London event too. The final table for that begins at noon.

In short, don't go anywhere. There's a lot to look forward to at PokerStars Blog today.
