EPT9 London: Jan Bendik takes the trophy in event #M to strengthen his grip on EPT leader board

Jan Bendik has become a regular feature on the European Poker Tour over the last few couple of seasons and all the hard graft seems to be paying off, he's made the money in nine side events this season (totalling more than €160,000 and strictly speaking one of them was a Eureka event). We mentioned in Deauville that Bendik was strengthening his grip on the Slovakian number one spot, but a 1st here in the £1,100 'Win the button' event has pushed him further out front in the EPT leader board.

Bendik, who runs an electricity company in his native Slovakia, picks up another 400 points here, which is almost certainly good for first place. We'll be updating the full leader board after EPT London so look out for the post-festival wrap as we move into the last two festivals of Season 9.

A big shout out to Eddie Tasbas, PokerStars Team Online's Mickey Petersen and Souheil Mansour, all of whom have made other final tables here at EPT London. Check out their other cash finishes by clicking through to our EPT London tournament results here.
