EPT10 Vienna: A huge slice of Sachertorte

Tournament organisers have done all their counting and revealed the prize pool for EPT10 Vienna. It is big. Our field of 910 players created a prize pool of €4,413,500, of which the winner will get €816,000. (They pay down to 135th place.)

We have only been to Vienna three times on the EPT, and so the increases in prize pool are rendered in great leaps rather than incremental baby steps. Put it this way, the winner in Season 1, Pascal Perrault, got €184,500 from a total €786,515 pool. The winner here this week will get more than the entire bank back then.

Michael Eiler, who won in Season 7, took €700,000 from a €2,935,000 kitty. Yep, it's more than that too.

Here's the full breakdown, and prizewinners, and and when they are known, will appear in the panel at the top of the main EPT Vienna page.
