EPT10 Vienna: Applications now accepted for the role of Reigning Champion

An exciting new position has become available in our Austrian department.

The European Poker Tour invites applicants for the role of "reigning EPT Vienna champion" after the former holder stepped down after three years successful years in office.

Previous post holder Mr Michael Eiler stepped down today after a low key ceremony in the Festsaal, Vienna, kindly laid on by PokerStars.

Mr Eiler briefly stopped by table 28 this afternoon to bid farewell to a small group of players who had gathered around the table to see him off and wish him well. Eiler stopped and chatted to them for a few minutes, sharing the odd joke, before pausing to reflect on four wonderful years, even folding his big and small blind to extend this short spell, which was greatly appreciated by those around the table.

Then it was time to go, Eiler donating the last of his chips to Christian Stallinger, one of those thought to be thinking of applying for the role, although it's thought Mr Eiler's gesture was not an official endorsement of Mr Stallinger.

Applications should be sent c/o Main Event. Experience of Day 1 is required. Deadline Friday.
