EPT11 Barcelona: For Shorr, he's a rarity in the poker world

There were just 33 days between the WSOP November Nine being set and the first day of EPT Barcelona. During that period most poker players who had spent six weeks grinding in the Nevada desert decided to take a break.

Popular destinations included Cabo, the Balearic Islands and other sun drenched beauty spots. For most players that is. However, Shannon Shorr took a path less trodden and a difficult one at that.

Shorr - was conquering a mountain of a different kind this summer

The would be no time to sunbathe for the American because he took on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, as Sarah Grant discovered.

Follow all the action from the tournament floor on the main EPT Barcelona page. There's hand-by-hand coverage in the panel at the top, including chip counts, and feature pieces below. There's also EPT Live, which is streaming action from Day 1B of the Main Event.
