Finding your way to Prague and the EPT and Eureka Main Events
We know what it's like when you just want to sit down a play, especially when the intention is to qualify for an event you've been waiting for all year long.
Sometimes though you wind up getting lost in the PokerStars lobby in the rush, finding yourself mis-clicking and winding up in a 10K mix-max badugi high roller super-turbo six-max zoom re-buy tournament and wondering what went wrong.
Actually, we don't run such contests, at least not yet, and we may exaggerate a little. But you get the point. We want to make sure you can find what you're looking for as easily and as quickly as possible.
Thankfully the new PokerStars 7 client takes the stress out of all that looking.
So if you're one of those players looking ahead to the next round of high quality live PokerStars tournament action the focus is now on Prague in the Czech Republic. The next European Poker Tour festival is coming up in Prague in December, and includes the hugely popular Eureka Prague Main Event.
Finding your way there couldn't be easier. Or at least finding your way to a satellite that could send you there couldn't be easier. Here's where to start.
First of all log-in using your username and password. Once you're in the Main Lobby click on the "Live Events" tab along the top of the screen. That will show you "All Events" coming up in the coming months on an aesthetically pleasing map.
If you're just curious, click on each icon on the map to find details of that event. Alternatively, use the menu on the right hand side to click on the event or festival you're interested in playing. The list is in date order so if you can't wait for Prague's huge fields and beautiful winter location, just click on that which is listed first.
But if it's the Eureka Main Event you're looking for you click on this link in the menu, and then on "Open Event Lobby" when the image of an illuminated Prague appears on the map. Here you'll discover a wide range of tournaments to play.
If you want to buy-in directly to one of the festival events, such as the Eureka Main Event, you can do so from this page. Simply select the event on the list and follow the instructions.
Alternatively you can play a satellite, all of which are listed under the "All Satellites" option along the top of the screen. Here you'll find satellites of every conceivable buy-in, and in every known format. Select the one you want to play and take our best wishes with you to your seat. You'll be in Prague in no time.
