EPT Deauville: Penultimate day of side events; Dahmani wins the 6-Max
It's a slightly quieter day for side events here on the penultimate day of the EPT Deauville Poker Festival. There are four events today but only one will be completed, the other three will finish as part of seven events that will be running (other than the Main Event and High Roller).
The €800 Deepstack kicked off at midday with a total of 105 players, just 66 currently remain including father-and-son duo Yury and Andrey Gulyy, Ilan Boujenah and Simeon Naydenov.
The €500 Turbo kicked off about an hour ago with a fairly stacked field, there are 77 players involved so far including EPT winners Kevin MacPhee (who just finished 11th in the Main Event) and Jannick Wrang, Pierre Neuville, Konstantin Puchkov, Jonathan Hellman, Andrea Dato, Martin Staszko, Petr Jelinek and PokerStars sponsored-player Dominik Panka. This is the only event expected to finish today.
Later on today there's a €1,500 at 6pm and the chocolate heaven that is the €200 Grasel Sweets Superstack at 8pm. Both these events, alongside the €800 Deepstack are two-day tournaments, finishing tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the event held on from overnight, the €1k 6-Max was won by Omar Dahmani for €32,250. Dahmani beat fellow Frenchman Tarek Bouchama (2nd - €21,970) heads-up with Florian Ravier (3rd - €14,520) finishing in third.
