EPT Malta: Troyanovskiy misses the €1k final; Stacked field in the €2k Turbo
The unofficial final table of the €1k Single Re-Entry is just getting under way with nine players remaining. Simeon Naydenov, Georgios Zisimopoulos and Erwann Pecheux are still involved but Vladimir Troyanovskiy was knocked out just before the final table in 11th place for €5,550. Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki finished in 30th place for €2,420. There is €68,120 for the winner and this event should finish later tonight.
Having cashed in the €1k, Marcin Horecki is one of several players in the Limit €200 event. Christin Maschmann, who works for PokerStars, just suffered a brutal beat when she lost with quad twos against quad aces. Despite this, the German lady is still in the tournament. There are 41 players in this event with five places being paid a minimum of €564, with €2,700 for the winner.
Both the €500 and the €1k Stud Hi/Lo events are currently on dinner break. The former has 43 players remaining out of the 262 entries but only 39 places are getting paid. The latter is down to 23 players from the 28 who played with Dzmitry Urbanovich still looking for his fourth title. First place pays €10,050 with €2,580 for 5th.
The €2k Turbo 8-Handed even has begun with a predictably stacked field. There's an unconfirmed total of 102 players including former Player of the Year Jan Bendik, Ole Schemion, Kenny Hallaert, Ami Barer, Andrea Dato, Balazs Botond, EPT champions Martin Schleich, Ruben Visser, David Vamplew, Joao Barbosa and Anton Wigg, Konstantinos Nanos, Morten Mortensen, Andrey Shatilov, Stephen van Zadelhoff and Yann Dion.
