EPT11 Grand Final: Send the pros to the rail...for charity

There's is a packed day of poker in store at the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final, but it's not only high rollers and high stakes.

Perhaps more importantly than any of that other stuff, there is also a tournament taking place at 7pm that promises to raise heaps of cash for Poker In Pink, a breast cancer charity.

Its buy in is €200 and a huge portion of whatever is raised will go to good causes. As ever with PokerStars, there will likely be a good deal of added value for the charity, and a few incentives for players to haul themselves along.

The Team PokerStars Pro trio of Jake Cody, Theo Jorgensen and Fatima Moreira de Melo will be playing, so if you have ever wanted to cross swords with some of the best for a fraction of the cost, here's your chance. The best thing about these three is that they are ridiculously competitive, regardless of the buy in, so they will be playing this for real.

(I'm not joking, by the way. It's hilarious how competitive Cody and Moreira de Melo, in particular, are in any poker situation. I've seen them play as ringers in media-only events and get genuinely steamed when they're knocked out. It's fun to do it, so get yourself along and chuckle as you send the pros spiralling into obscurity like Darth Vader in his TIE fighter.)

There's nothing more fun than knocking out Jake Cody...

...except knocking out Fatima Moreira de Melo

Furthermore, there will be an open bar and a heap of free food -- itself worth up to about a thousand bucks when you're in Monaco -- and some additional prizes. We can't tell you any specifics, but this is PokerStars we're talking about, so it will always be good.

The tournament is being held in the America's Room, which is down beside the swimming pool of the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort (follow the path from the main tournament room, and don't stop until it runs out). The fun starts at 7pm, with cards in the air an hour later.
