The final numbers are in for the High Roller event, answering some questions but creating others.

There were 401 entries this year, with a further 105 re-entries on top of that, making for a total of 506. That's considerably higher than last year's record breaking field of 393.

Registration closed at 12.15pm this afternoon, shortly before play restarted. At which point 18 players had re-entered, including Eugene Katchalov, ElkY, Ryan Reiss, Ami Barer (a finalist in this event last year), and Martin Kabrhel. A further nine players entered for the first time, including Ilari Sahamies, Mike Watson and Daniel Dvoress.

The prize pool has been finalised. The 506 entries have combined for a €4,908,200 prize pool, with 71 places being paid. The winner will receive €947,300, with the rest divided up as follows:

1. € 947,300
2. € 596,800
3. € 427,500
4. € 336,700
5. € 265,600
6. € 206,600
7. € 155,600
8. € 108,500

9. € 85,900
10-11. € 71,200
12-13. € 60,900
14-15. € 53,000
16-17. € 47,100
18-20. € 42,200
21-23. € 37,300
24-27. € 32,400
28-31. € 28,500
32-39. € 24,600
40-55. € 21,000
56-71. € 18,650

There's one last question, given the history of this event: With 500 -plus entries, how do you fit a lump that big into a three-day hole?

The plan today to play ten levels or down to eight, whichever comes first. But nobody really expects the latter.
