EPT12 Prague: Join us for mulled wine, buns, and more at the welcome party

Studies have shown* that if you turn up to play the biggest tournament of the week, feeling the effects of the night before, it can actually do your game some good.

Okay, hear me out.

Well, first off you have an excuse. Turn up a little worse for wear after too much Christmas cheer and at least you can lay the blame squarely at the feet of the EPT events staff. It was they who persuaded you to go to a Christmas themed welcome party on the eve of the EPT Prague Main Event. How could they be so careless?

Alternatively, and perhaps more positively, you can use it as a test. Go along; enjoy a drink of something, decline the offer of a second, turning your back on what is a free bar as you excuse yourself for a good night's rest. Such will power and restraint - surely the traits of a future champion?

Whichever option you choose, be sure to get along to the welcome party tonight, in the Prague Hilton's Cloud 9 bar with stunning views across the Czech capital. It will be dark, but after the mulled wine you won't care.

As well as mulled wine, they'll be Christmas spirit and even cinnamon buns, laid on by Santa's little helpers from 10pm tonight. All players and their guests are welcome. Santa does like a drink so the festivities will run until 2am.

To get in simply show your registration card, or pick up a wristband from the welcome desk.

See you there. Let's all agree to worry about tomorrow some other time.
