EPT12 Prague: Stacked Super High Roller final table set to begin

When a tournament begins with 40 or so of the best players in the world it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that when they get whittled down to the final eight you're going to be looking at a final table containing some of the finest poker players.

If you've not been following our coverage so far then spoiler alert the final table of the €50,000 Super High Roller looks set to be a belter.

7Sam GreenwoodCanada2,223,000
8John JuandaIndonesia643,000

No one on that list is short of a powerful resume. The only name that might be unfamiliar to poker fans is that of Luuk Gieles, the chip leader. That's likely because he doesn't play a lot of live poker, wherever he finishes today will be his best live result to date and should he finish seventh or higher he'll at least double his lifetime winnings of $144,414.

This is the biggest final table of the Dutchman's life

He has though won masses more than that online where he's a Supernova Elite on PokerStars playing the highest stakes sit and gos as well as cash games.

At the other end of the chip counts you'll find John Juanda. Whilst Martin Finger and Steve O'Dwyer have both have completed the EPT Main Event/Super High Roller double, no one has done that in the same season, but Juanda could today. Despite starting as the short stack he's got over 20 big blinds as play will resume with just under 20 minutes left of Level 16 (15,000/30,000 ante 4,000).

Play starts at 12:30 CET and this is what they're playing for:
