ESPT6 Barcelona: The more the merrier
The Day 1a field for the Estrellas Main Event continues to grow as they move into Level 4. The big board shows a total of 573 have taken their seats thus far, with not quite 30 of those having already been felted in the early going.
Along with FPS Monaco champion Sebastian Supper whom we spoke with a short time ago, there are several other familiar faces in the field.
Team PokerStars Pro Jan Heitmann, Team PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo, and Friend of Team PokerStars Felipe "Mojave" Ramos are all here after having participated in last night's Neymar Jr Charity Home Game.
Several stars of the Latin American Poker Tour are among the crowd, too, including LAPT8 Panama Main Event champion Shakeeb Kazemipur, the Ukrainian Olga Iermolcheva who finished second to Kazemipur in Panama.
Juan Pastor of Argentina is here, too. Besides his consistent success online and in South America, Pastor is making a mark at the EPT this year as well with a fifth-place finish in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event in January and an 11th-place in the EPT Grand Final in Monaco in May.
Other standouts taking part in the ESPT Main include Heinz Traut (pictured above with Pastor), Roger Hairabedian, Niall Farrell, Niels van Leeuwen, Pieter de Korver, Vladimir Troyanovskiy, and Nosebleed star Sebastien "Seb86" Sabic. More often found playing online, this marks just the second EPT appearance for Sabic.
Also here is Team PokerStars Online member Naoya Kihara, hot off winning the Sunday 6-max on on PokerStars just three days ago.
Late registration for Day 1a remains open through the end of Level 4.
