Eureka4 Rozvadov: A return to the Czech Republic!
After hitting record numbers in back-to-back events in Prague and Vienna, the Eureka Poker Tour has returned to Rozvadov and the King's Casino for the second stop of Season Four. Last year Bart Lybaert of Belgium won this event for €115,000 defeating a field of 421 to claim the top prize and become the first ever winner of Eureka Rozvadov.
The village of Rozvadov itself is an interesting place, the local population is only 821 - less than the numbers for the Eureka Poker Tour's last two events. On the other hand, it's well-known as the biggest card room in these parts, less than two miles from the border with Germany and hence incredibly popular with German players as well as Czechs.
There have been 184 players who have bought in through PokerStars.net, a mixture of online qualifiers and direct buy-ins. Those expected to play over the two start days include PokerStars Team Pro Martin Hruby and Friend of PokerStars Natalie Hof.
As with last year, there's a €500,000 guarantee on the event but through out the week, the tournament will be starting at 2pm rather than the traditional 12pm. This is to give those Czech and German players driving here a little more leeway in getting here on time. However, if you've arrived early it is not the end of the world - there's a free all-day buffet right next to the cardroom for the more ravenous amongst you.
