Eureka4 Rozvadov: A round with Martin Hruby

PokerStars Team Pro Martin Hruby is probably one of the best-known players involved in the action today. Hruby came second in EPT Vienna back in Season 7 losing out to Michael Eiler heads-up but still able to walk away with €470,000. Today Hruby is already up at 50,000 and one of biggest stacks after four levels.

Hand 1:

Martin Hruby had the button. Jan Kytlica was sitting out because he had only just moved to the table. Michael Rohde opened to 650 preflop, Hruby called on the button and Viacheslav Belyaev called in the big blind. The 2♠9♦3♥ flop was checked to Hruby who bet 1,125, Belyaev called and Rohde folded.

Both players checked the K♠ turn and Hruby quickly folded to a 1,200 bet on the 7♥ river.

Hand 2:

Kytlica raised to 600 from the cutoff, Belyaev made it 1,500 in the small blind and Kyltica made the call. The flop was 4♥K♥8♠, Belyaev bet 1,600 and Kytlica made the call to see the 6♠ on the turn. Belyaev fired a second bullet worth 2,600 but again Kytlica made the call.

The river was the 4♠ and Belyaev checked, Kytlica chose to bet 3,700 and his opponent folded.

Hand 3:

Roman Dohnal opened to 600 preflop, Lukasz Jedrzejczyk and Tom Kunze both called. It was checked to Dohnal who bet 1,100, Jedrzejczyk called and Kunze folded. Dohnal fired 2,800 on the 6♠ turn but he called again. The river was the J♦and Dohnal fired 6,000 but Jedrzejczyk quickly called with T♠T♣ beating Dohnal's A♥T♥.

Hand 4:

Kunze opened to 600 preflop from the button, Rohde made it 1,625 in the small blind but Kunze four-bet to 3,000. Rohde called quickly. Both players checked the A♦2♥5♣ flop before Rohde bet 2,500 on the 4♥ turn. Kunze called this bet and another 5,500 on the 7♦ river but had to muck when Rohde turned over A♥Q♠.

Hand 5:

Hruby raised to 625 from under the gun, Rohde called on the button to see a 8♦K♥2♠ flop. Hruby bet 600 and Rohde called. Both players checked the Q♣ turn and Hruby bet 2,600 on the J♠ river. Rohde quickly folded, flashing the 8♠.

Hand 6:

Rohde raised to 750 from the cutoff. Dohnal made it 2,100 in the small blind and Rohde again called. The flop was J♣T♣J♠, Dohnal bet 2,000 and Rohde folded instantly.

Hand 7:

Hruby raised to 775 in the small blind and Kytlica called in the big blind. The flop came 8♦9♣5♦ and Hruby check-raised Kytlica's 900 bet to 2,225. Kytlica made the call before doing the same when Hruby bet 2,625 on the 8♣ turn.

Hruby checked the A♣ river and Kytlica bet 7,500. The Czech player quickly called but Kytlica turned over A♦8♥ for a backdoored full house to win the pot.

Hand 8:

Kunze raised to 600 preflop and Hruby called on the button but the latter quickly folded to a 1,000-continuation bet on a flop of 4♣6♣Q♦.

Hruby, who started the round with about 50,000 finished with roughly 38,500 after that penultimate hand cost him almost a quarter of his stack.

Tournament Update

- There is a one-hour dinner break at the end of level six
- Registration is now closed, 192 players have entered today with 146 currently remaining
- Blinds have just gone up to 200/400 with a 50 ante
