The second day of the opening leg of the France Poker Series started a few minutes ago. The 35 players remaining from Day 1 are back, firstly to reach the 22 places paid. Then, the most ambitious players will try to claim a prestigious victory, and consequently a nice €40,000 payday.

Here are how some of the players are standing: Antoine Labat (305,200), Mylène Cogan (302,400) and Christophe Gross (252,900). Other known faces still in the run are Alain Roy (128,600), Fabrice Jeannet (117,300), Philippe Narboni (108,500), Alan Smurfit (106,500), José Barbero (79,900) and Arnaud Mattern (64,400). In short, victory won't be easy.
