IPT San Remo begins under the summer sun
PokerStars.IT IPT San Remo started today in the beautiful San Remo Casino. The weather is great here, the city is beautiful and the show must go on!
It's the third stop in the third season of the Italian Poker Tour here in the city of flowers.
One player who is taking a serious bite of out of other people's chips is the Day 1a chip leader here at IPT, Alfonso Vinti, who has got 179,200 chips, followed by the Italian Marco Ruggeri with 159,600 chips.
PokerStars Qualifier Giovanni Allegrino is third with 159,600 chips.
A field of 158 players from around Europe made their way here for Day 1A and 23 of those qualified online with PokerStars.
A total of 54 survived Day 1a and return to see the start of Day 2.
It's been a great game for Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano, who finished the day with 128,800 chips. Other Team PokerStars Pro Pier Paolo Fabretti will start day 2 with 55,000 chips.
Day 1B will kick off later today with another bumper field, including PokerStars Team Pro Dario Minieri and Salvatore Bonavena.
