IPT_thn.jpgThe latest leg of the successful PokerStars Italian Poker Tour got under way yesterday in the beautiful Campione d'Italia, surrounded by Lake Lugano. Sergio Castelluccio, with 217,500 chips, holds the Day 1A lead followed by Michele Caroli on 198,800. It was the fourth time that Castelluccio has ended the first day of an IPT in the top 10.

A field of 167, including 29 PokerStars qualifiers, played the first day one flight, with 66 making it through to Day 2 with an average stack of 63,600. The highest-placed PokerStars qualifier was Tania Scremin in fourth with 164,400.
