Esposito leads IPT Campione after Day 1A

We're a global operation, I'm sure you'll agree. So while there is much attention focused on the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure right now, it should come as no surprise that another live event is happening somewhere else. And that place is the Italian Poker Tour, where IPT Campione began yesterday.

The Casino Municipale is home to the fifth stop of the PokerStars IPT's fourth season, and 105 players showed up for Day 1A, 17 of them being PokerStars qualifiers who would have taken their seats for much less than the €2,200 buy-in.

When it was all said and done, 44 of those who sat down at the start were still sitting down at the end. Top of the pile was Giuseppe Esposito with 207,000 chips, followed by Raz Friedrich with 149,600 and Nicolo Caramatti with 123,300.

Top man: Giuseppe Esposito

Day 1B begins later today with Team PokerStars Team Online player Christian Favale, Alessandro De Michele and Vito Barone.

You can follow all the action over on our sister Italian blog. To do so would require mastery of the Italian language, or at the very least a working knowledge of Google Translate.
