BREAKING: LAPT announces new Brazil stop
It's funny how things will happen.
We've come all this way to report on what will be one of the biggest LAPT events in its three-year history. However, before we have even seen the first cards in the air, we've got breaking news from the Latin American Poker Tour ranks. In just a couple of months, the LAPT will be returning to Brazil.
Just moments ago, LAPT President David Carrion announced his tour will be making a stop in the stunning Florianopolis, Brazil.
August 4-8, 2010, the LAPT will head to the all-inclusive Costão do Santinho resort on the north side of Santa Catarina Island along the eye-popping Santinho beach. It's a place loved by sunbathers, surfers, and fisherman alike.
Ringed by historic archaeological sites, lush lush dunes, and adventure trails, the resort sits on 185 acres of Atlantic rainforest and offers some of the best luxury service in the world. Amid it all will be the LAPT's $2,500 +$200 main event.
While this news is just breaking, we expect full details of the event, its schedule, and prize packages to be announced on LAPT.com within the next day or so.
Also, keep your eye on the PokerStars LAPT tab in the tournament lobby, as satellites will be starting soon.
And now back to your regularly scheduled coverage of LAPT Lima...beginning in about 16 hours.
