NAPT sets sights on The Bike, Mohegan Sun

napt-thumb.jpgIt's not been three months since we left Joe Tehan smiling and cuddling with his giant check in Los Angeles. It's just been a matter of weeks since we left the the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, the first official stop of the North American Poker Tour's second season. Now, it's time to load up the money and carry it back to Los Angeles.

The NAPT is readying itself for the next two stops of the second season. The festivals will reprise the Season 1 events in Los Angeles and Connecticut. The NAPT will first return to The Bike where the $5,000 Main Event will take place from March 5-10. The main event and Bounty Shootout will be taped for later broadcast on ESPN2 (US), TSN (Canada), and other networks around the world.

After that trip is done and dusted, the NAPT will head to Uncasville, CT and the Mohegan Sun Casino for the $5,000 main event April 9-12. That's where Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst picked up her $750,000 win in 2010.

One big change for the year is that the Bounty Shootout event buy-ins have been bumped up to $10,000. Keep it in mind as you start working to allocate your bankroll for the year. The nine-handed events will be capped at 81 players apiece.
