PCA Fantasy giving away 12 Caribbean packages for free

PCA-2010-thumbnail.jpgThere is no bouncer at the door of a major poker tournament. There is no supercilious L.A. meatball with a photocopied guest list that you aren't on. There's no security clearance. You don't have to go to school, pass a test, or rise up through the minor leagues.

All you need is money.

Yes, there is that, isn't there?

There is a lot to be said about the open-door policy of poker tournaments and the ability of anyone to sit down. However, there is always that "if you have $10,000" part on which the best of us can get hung up.

For the most part, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure works the same way. If you can take the time to get to the Bahamas in January and have a spare ten grand, you can get a seat.

Or...you can win one of the 12 free prize packages PokerStars is putting on offer over the next several weeks.

This morning, PokerStars announced the PCA Fantasy freerolls. It's the cheapest way to get to the PCA. Keep an eye on the PokerStars lobby for constantly-running 180, 90 and 45-player sit & go qualifiers. Once the events fill up, all you have to do is finish high enough to win a ticket to one of the weekly PCA Fantasy Final freerolls.

Once in the finals, you'll be up for one of the 12 PCA packages PokerStars is giving away. With that, you will go here:

Those prize packages are pretty slick. They're worth more than $15,000 apiece and include your buy-in, hotel, travel money, and cash for food and drinks.

Even if you don't win the package, PokerStars is giving away a bunch of cash, too. People who play the finals and finish in the top 2,000 will get a share of the $14,000 in extra prize money.

Don't have time to qualify? Haven't deposited on PokerStars before? Then just make a deposit using a special code and you'll automatically get a ticket to the finals.

For full details on how you can join us for free in the Bahamas, see the PCA Fantasy freerolls page.

Good luck!
