8.40pm: Eugene Katchalov wins the $100,000 Super High Roller event
Daniel Negreanu opened for 160,000. Eugene Katchalov looked down the table; "I'll put you all in, Daniel."
Negreanu tanked for a while, making a series of elaborate gestures as if about to call but suddenly changing his mind. Eventually he took a chance and called, turning over 5♠5♥. It was a good call, with Katchalov showing 4♥4♦ for a 3,280,000 pot.
The flop came A♣8♠T♠ and Negreanu was still ahead, but the turn 4♠ swung the advantage to Katchalov. The river card 2♣ ewas neither the spade or five that Negreanu needed, and Eugene Katchalov becomes the $100,000 Super High Roller Champion, earning $1,500,000. -- SB
8.34pm: Katchalov machine-like
Eugene Katchalov has a name reminiscent of a chess Grandmaster and he's certainly playing like one; slowly, methodically and ruthlessly. Negreanu is refusing to capitulate though and each time he gets knocked down he pulls himself up and dusts himself down before launching yet another foray into enemy territory. It has turned into quite some heads up. -- RD

Daniel Negreanu opened fro 160,000 which Eugene Katchalov then re-raised to 420,000, which Negreanu called for a flop of 5♦J♣7♥. A bet of 300,000 from Katchalov was enough to win the pot. - SB
8.20pm: One for Katchalov
Daniel Negreanu opened for 160,000 which Eugene Katchalov called for a flop of 2♦A♠K♥. Katchalov checked to Negreanu who bet 175,000, which Katchalov called. The turn came a Q♠, at which Katchalov bet 300,000, forcing a fold from Negreanu. - SB
8.12pm: Momentum building for Negreanu, Katchalov still ahead
Daniel Negreanu is up to 2.6 million, his highest count for some time. Among the raise-and-takes there have been a couple of key pots that have helped Negreanu. The Team PokerStars Pro three-bet Eugene Katchalov pre-flop to 385,000 and just two hands later check-raised the American off a 5♣4♥2♥ flop making it 400,000 to go after Katchalov had c-bet 160,000.
Katachalov is still ahead on 6.9 million. -- RD
8.02pm: Negreanu all-in
Eugene Katchalov opened for 160,000 which Daniel Negreanu called for a flop of 5♠7♠3♣. Negreanu checked to Katchalov who bet 160,000. Negreanu then announced he was all-in for 1,430,000 more. Katchalov didn't immediately fold, but he didn't call either, eventually passing. - SB
7.52pm: Negreanu looking frustrated
Back from dinner and Daniel Negreanu is looking frustrated with how the board is running for him. Eugene Katchalov min-raised from the button to 160,000 and was called by Negreanu in the big blind. Both players checked through to the 4♠3♦Q♦5♠ turn which Negreanu led for 275,000. Katchalov made the call. Negreanu opted to check the 9♠ river and Katchalov slid forward a 400,000 bet.
Negreanu instantly started shaking his head, the frustration visible on his face. He passed his hand. -- RD
