Join us in The Bahamas - qualify now for the PCA

PCA-2010-thumbnail.jpgOn a warm, cloudless night in The Bahamas last January, Galen Hall's life changed in such a way that he was not able to sleep until long after the sun rose over the crystal-clear sea the next morning. Some $2.3 million better off, he had bested a field of 1,560 players, packed with the best names in poker, to win the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure main event.

Name me one player--professional or hobbyist--who would not like to have been in the 24-year-old's shoes, and I'll buy them an ice-cold bottle of Kalik, the Bahamian beer recommended by this writer (in moderation, of course).

In case you didn't know, the PCA is the biggest festival of poker outside of the World Series of Poker, which is drawing to a close at the Rio in Las Vegas at the time of writing. While the buy-in is a chunky $10,000 for the PCA main event, which once again takes place at Atlantis, the magical resort on Paradise Island, you can secure your seat for January 2012 for a fraction of that via PokerStars satellites.

The good news is that those qualifiers begin this week, and cater for all pockets with buy-ins ranging from $3.33 right up to $700.

Here's the schedule:

Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays:
13:21 ET -- $11+R Turbo Round 1
14:21 ET -- $162 Round 1
15:21 ET -- $3.33+R 2x-Turbo Round 1

Sundays:
13:21 ET -- $11+R Turbo Round 1
14:21 ET -- $3.33+R Turbo Round 1
14:31 ET -- $204 Hyper-Turbo Round 1
14:41 ET -- $204 Hyper-Turbo Round 1
14:51 ET -- $204 Hyper-Turbo Round 1
15:00 ET -- $700 Qualifier (1 Package Guaranteed)

Best of luck to all of you. We hope to see you in the Caribbean in January.
