PCA 2011 $5,000 Bounty Shootout: Day 2, level 7 & 8 updates (blinds 800-1,600, ante 200)
6.16pm: Flight one done as Binger raids the Til
Mike Binger limped the small blind and Johan van Til raised to 6,100 from the big blind. Binger shipped it in to put Van Til's 48,000 stack at risk. The Dutchman went long into the tank before making the call, which received an eyebrow raise from Binger.
Van Til: K♥T♥
Van Til went racing ahead on the T♣3♣7♦ board but Binger had backdoor outs. The 5♣ was a huge turn and the A♣ completed the four-flush for Binger. He joins Shaun Deeb and Andrew Chen at the final table. -- RD
6.06pm: Chen wins table
Andrew Chen didn't take too long to finish Jeff Madsen off after claiming the lead. Madsen raised from the button and Chen called to see the Q♥5♣2♣ flop where he check-raised Madsen's 5,550 c-bet up to 13,000. Madsen moved all-in for 35,500 and Chen made the call.
Chen tabled A♣4♣ for the nut flush draw. Madsen smiled and said, "Pretty good hand for you", before revealing K♣7♣ for the second nut-flush draw.
The 2♠A♠ turn and river only improved Chen's hand and he takes his first bounty chip of the day and progresses to the final table. -- MC
6.02pm: Chen in the lead for the first time
Andrew Chen is up to around 100,000 chips in his match with Jeff Madsen. Madsen raised to 4,000 from the button and Chen called to the Q♥6♥4♠ flop. Madsen c-bet for 5,150 only to be check-raised to 12,000 by Chen. His answer was to bump it up to 20,450. Chen called to see the 8♦ turn where he and Madsen checked through to the 5♠ river. Chen led for 20,000 and Madsen checked his cards once more before folding. -- MC
5.54pm: Van Til shoves monster board
Johan van Til was all-in on a K♦2♠8♠K♠K♣ board and Binger went deep into the tank before passing. Van Til is on 50,000. -- RD
5.44pm: Binger takes the lead
Mike Binger has taken the lead with over 80,000 after raising from 8,000 to 28,000 on the river of a 4♣7♣6♥Q♠A♦ board. The next hand that lead swung back to Johan van Til who got it all-in preflop in a pre-flop raising war. -- RD
LEVEL UP: BLINDS 50-100
5.32pm: One for Madsen
Jeff Madsen is back up to 100,000 chips after emptying the clip on Andrew Chen. Madsen raised to 3,000 pre-flop, bet 4,150 on the flop, 7,300 on the turn, and 16,225 on the river. The final board read A♥5♦7♦K♣Q♦ and Chen called all the way before tank-folding the river. -- MC
5.25pm: Binger back
Mike Binger has pegged back Johan van Til and now has 70,000 of the 150,000 stack. Binger just raked in a large pot with 4♥5♥ on a J♦A♠2♥3♣5♠ board. Would he have got more if the five hadn't fallen on the river? -- RD
5.20pm: Nearly evens
Andrew Chen has won a pot to move up to 70,000 chips, just 10,000 short of Jeff Madsen. Madsen raised to 3,000 and bet 4,150 on the flop before the turn and river were checked down. The final board read 3♠7♥4♥T♠9♠ and Chen tabled A♣3♥ for the pot as Madsen mucked. -- MC
5.12pm: Binger keeps climbing
Mike Binger is now up to 62,000, not far behind Johan van Til's 88,000 after shoving the river of a 7♥9♦2♦9♠4♥ board. Van Til had him on the ropes a short while ago, not so now. -- RD
5.08pm: Binger doubles
Johan van Til has been piling the pressure onto Michael Binger since their return from the break by moving all-in every hand. The second time Van Til shoved from the button Binger tank-called for his last 25,000.
Van Til: A♦2♥
The board ran 3♥4♣7♦6♦K♠ to double Binger up. Is this the start of another marathon heads up for Mike Binger? -- MC
4.55pm: Back from the break
Shaun Deeb is leading the bounty table at the moment, not a surprise given that he's the only player through to Sunday's final table so far.
Two tables to go in this flight with Johan van Til and Mike Binger at one table and Andrew Chen and Jeff Madsen at the other. Binger and Chen are the shorter stacked players. -- RD
