PCA 2012: Perla Migova wins Shutter Speed Freeroll
Everyone who arrived at the PCA this week got their hands on the official magazine of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. For the past three years at the PCA, these glossy magazines have greeted PCA travelers and have been the source of information and untold riches for the readers. Not only is the publication chocked full of all the information about the event, resort, island, and PokerStars, but it almost always has a few contests.
One of this year's contests was the Shutter Speed Freeroll. The first nine people here to go out and get photos of key landmarks around Atlantis got a seat in a single table $1,000 freeroll. To qualify, the players had to get photos of themselves:
Today, the finalists in the Shutter Speed Freeroll got to sit down for the freeroll, and it turned out like this:
1st: Migová -- $500
2nd: Ignacio Palau -- $300
3rd: Tóth Béla --$200
As it happened, Perla Migová (pictured below) was married to the bubble boy, aka Milan Migo. And as it happened, Migo was a winner of the PokerStars Dream Job promotion. With that win, Migo had been a sponsored player up until the end of last year. At the very same time, he won his seat to the PCA.
Both husband and wife have been playing poker for a couple of years. With the money they've won (Migová has been doing very well in her native Slovakia), the couple has since opened a poker club called Maverick in Northern Slovakia.
Congratulations to Migová for some great pictures and winning the Shutter Speed Freeroll.
