PCA 2015: Checking in on Paradise Island

Sunshine? Check.

Poker tables, cards, and chips? Check. Check Check.

Kalik? Check (and doubled checked just to be sure).

It can only mean one thing, friends. The Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure is back for 2015. This will be the 12th consecutive poker reunion in paradise, and it looks to be gigantic.

The PokerStars Blog team is once again putting down stakes here at Atlantis on Paradise Island, and we'll be kicking off our live coverage tomorrow with the $100,000 Super High Roller event. A quick look at the entries shows names like Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Vanessa Selbst, and WCOOP champion Fedor Holz.

In all there will be 35 events including the $3,000 LAPT Bahamas Main Event, the $10,000 PCA Main Event, the $25,000 High Roller, the $1,000 Ladies Event and the Americas Cup. The PCA will also be introducing the brand new Double Bubble event (it pays half the field!).

Atlantis at night

More than 330 players qualified online for the PCA Main Event. Those qualifiers will be sitting with the likes of golfer Sergio Garcia, UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz, Friend of PokerStars and Seinfeld star Jason Alexander, and Team PokerStars SportStar and Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazario.

While we love it when you come here to read, we also know the PCA wouldn't be the same without the live webcasts. Those shows will kick off tomorrow at 15:00 ET with the Super High Roller. After that event is done, the webcast will pick up the LAPT Bahamas final table on January 9, and then jump in to the Main Event to cover it until we crown the new champion.

So, if you're not joining us here, make yourself a Bahama Mama, find the closest ray of sunshine, and enjoy the coverage over the next nine days.
