Starting the New Year in Paradise
January means resolutions and perhaps an end to all that seasonal excess. And with those new plans it brings with it the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, now less than a week away.
It's an event that takes a year to plan, but just eight days to play. But it's a highlight of the year, even if it does start less than a week into 2016. What's more it's the biggest PCA ever, with 104 tournaments on the schedule, both new and familiar.
Obviously the best way to experience it is by being there, and we hope to see you in and around the Atlantis Resort when things get started next week. But if you can't make it then we think we offer the best alternative.
The PokerStars Blog will be on hand to bring you all the action from Paradise Island, with even more of the coverage we pride ourselves in.

For the PCA 2016 our team will be providing more live updates than ever before, with the same mix of detail from the tables, stories away from it, and irreverence from both, all of which backed up by the best poker photography in the world.
So you might be missing out on the pink drinks and winter sunshine, but you won't miss anything taking place at the tables.
Furthermore the EPT Live teamwill be on hand to bring live action coverage from the Bahamas, with James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton on hand to beam action to a computer screen near you accompanied by all-star guests.
And, as Lee Jones detailed earlier this week, our very own Twitcher Jason Somerville will be Running It Up Live from the PCA for an alternative take on things. Somerville is well on his way to revolutionising poker for new generations of players watching and playing online. It's enough to make you think you're better off turning the dial up on the central heating and making your own pink cocktails from home, all while tuning in.
It's an exciting place to play poker, and a great way to see in the New Year. It all starts next Wednesday when the $100,000 Super High Roller event gets underway. From then it's non-stop action until the final day of play on Thursday January 14, 2016. You won't miss a thing.
Happy New Year to all PokerStars Blog readers.
