Anthony Wong leads opening event at Macau Poker Cup
PokerStars Macau at Casino Grand Lisboa launched 2011's final edition of the Macau Poker Cup: Red Dragon on Saturday with 166 players in Event 1: $3,000 NLH.

Leading the remaining 19 players at the end of Day 1 is Anthony Wong from Hong Kong with 120,000 chips. Other notables advancing to Sunday's Day 2 final include Team PokerStars Pro Celina Lin (57,500), Charles Lam (39,100), Jeff Ng (36,800), and Daren Yoon (9,500).

In addition to the first place prize of HKD 108,700 there are 960 Asia Player of the Year (APOY) points for the winner.
Every tournament plays a bigger role as we enter the second half of the Asian poker circuit. A victory in Event 1 would move Lam from 26th to 6th on the overall rankings. Lin and Yoon can enter the Top 20 at 11th and 20th respectively with a title finish.
Day 2 of Event 1 and Event 2: $1,000 Charity Event + 2 Rebuys both begin on Sunday, August 7 at 2:10 PM HKT.
