UKIPT Brighton: Crossing the streams
Welcome back to day two of the UKIPT Brighton. We have 104 of the starting 259 field coming back today and the plan is to whittle them down to the 32 who will make the money. Amongst those looking to lock up a minimum of £1,700, but hopefully the maximum of £65,400 are Neil Channing, Liam Flood and Team PokerStars Pro Vicky Coren.
That terrifying triumvirate - and many others - are all looking skywards towards those at the top of the chip charts. Only two players are currently members of the six-figure club and they are Oliver Schaffmann (109,900), who finished runner up to Andrew Couldridge (who's still in with 8,000) in Nottingham, has but even he has to acquiesce to Joe Drummy. The Day 1a chipleader will need longer than most in stacking his chips this morning as he places out a near-four-times-the-average 117,500. Drummy will start the day to the immediate left of EPT Deauville winner Jake Cody. That could be a lot of fun.
Players are being called to their seats and action is about to get underway. Stay with us for all the action here at the UKIPT Brighton.
