UKIPT Brighton: Day 3, levels 26&27 (blinds 25,000-50,000, ante 5,000)

ukiptthumb.JPG11.05pm: Jamie Burland wins the UKIPT Brighton and £65,400
Jamie Burland raised to 105,000 from the small blind and was called by Tomas Cibak in the big blind. Cibak led the Q♠7♦4♠ flop for 135,000 and Burland raised to 280,000 put his head down and tried to still his heaving chest. Cibak then moved all-in and was snap called by Burland.

Burland: Q♥4♥
Cibak: T♠8♠

The turn brought some two more outs as it paired Cibak's ten with the T♦ but no spade or trip ten and the tournament title, £65,400 and £5,000 EPT seat went to Burland. Tomas Cibak takes a well-earned £40,100 payday for his second place finish. Both players qualified through PokerStars so it's quite some ROI for both of them. A full wrap is on its way. -- RD

11pm: Burland makes a brave call
Tomas Cibak made it 105,000 from the button, Jamie Burland made the call.

Flop: 9♦3♥7♣

Check, check.

Turn: Q♠

Burland bet 175,000, Cibak called

River: 7♥

Burland checked, Cibak got a big chunk of chips and pushed them over the line, the bet was 660,000. Burland looked anguished and pounded the table to express this. After some thought though he called and Cibak insta-mucked. Burland showed Q♦8♣. He now has about 2,600,000 to Cibak's 1,200,000. --NW

10.55pm: Cagey start to heads up
The players were almost even in chips at the start of heads up, if anything Cibak had a slim advantage. The first five hands saw quite a few flops but the pots were small and not a lot happened. The sixth hand however saw a big pot played, details on the way... --NW

10.50pm: Bill Seber is out in 3rd (£24,600)
Bill Seber shoved from the button for close to 500,000 and was called by Cibak in the big blind.

Seber: 7♥8♥
Cibak: A♦9♦

After the 4♠K♠Q♣ flop Seber stood up and put his jacket on saying, 'Not looking good.' Then the 7♣ hit the turn. It was as if Seber knew the river wasn't going to be pretty as he made no attempt to sit down or take his jacket off. A 9♥ fell on the river and that was it for the American.

Neil Channing already apppears to be tapping up Seber for a cash game in London. Some things never change. -- RD

Bill Seber finished in 3rd for £24,600

10.45pm: Bill Seber doubles through Tomas Cibak
Bill Seber was left with just 275,000 after losing that hand to Jamie Burland. He wasted little time in getting them in, moving all-in the very next hand. Tomas Cibak gave him a spin from the big blind.

Seber: J♥[10c]
Cibak: K♣2♦

The board ran out 7♥Q♠J♠4♦3♠ --NW

10.40pm: Massive flip
Tomas Cibak raised from the button 105,000 and Bill Seber called in the small blind. Burland moved all-in over the top from the big blind. Cibak passed and Seber made the call and the pair were off to the races.

Seber: 9♥9♠
Burland: A♥T♠

The flop ran out 3♠2♠J♦ and it looked good for Seber to knockout Burland but running aces with A♠A♣ sealed that flip for Burland. Seber is down to 350,000. Burland is up to 1.5m. 'Just a sixteen grand coin-flip,' said one of Burland's railers.-- RD

10.30pm: Burland under the hammer
Jamie Burland is the player that is at risk at the moment with 805,000. Bill Seber has 1,315,000 and Tomas Cibak is leading with 1,725,000. Players are due back in their setas shortly. Burland was even shorter but got his stack in a couple of times just before the break to give himself a heads-up lifeline. -- RD
