UKIPT Manchester: Final Day Intro

ukiptthumb.JPGIt's Final Table day here in Manchester. We're not quite at that stage though. The nine levels of play yesterday got us down to our final 13 players. After a late surge our clear chip leader coming into today's play is Jack Ellwood. He ran aces into kings and then came from behind with ace-queen to beat an opponent's ace-king to help him reach an impressive 1,282,000 chips.

He has a host of talented players such as Dean Lyall and Christopher Brammer hanging on to his coat tails though approaching the million mark. At the other end of the scale are four players with 250,000 or less and they have some work to do if they want to make the final table. No one can count them out and if players such as Richard Kellet double-up they'll be a forced to be reckoned with once again.

Blinds will 6000/12,000 (1000 ante) when we come back so there is still plenty of play left in this and we hope that skill will shine through as we strive to find the first UKIPT Manchester Champion who will take home ₤63,200.

Play is due to start at 2pm (GMT) so please join us back here then as we reach the climax of this exciting tournament.
