UKIPT releases Edinburgh dates, drops Dublin buy-in
PokerStars has just released a brand new date and the seventh stop for the inaugural season of the UK & Ireland Poker. From August 19 to 22, the UKIPT will host its Edinburgh event at the Corn Exchange. The four-day £500+50 main event runs during the city's famed Fringe arts festival.
Registration for the Edinburgh event will require some advance planning if you're looking to play. You can register on PokerStars with money from your account or with cash at Grosvenor Casinos all across the UK. However, you will not be able to buy in with cash at the Corn Exchange. So, if you want to play, plan ahead.
The first season of the UKIPT has been an amazing success thus far. It's just been one month since ondons Andrew Couldridge took down the UKIPT Nottingham event for £80,000
The Edinburgh stop is not the only big news coming out of the UKIPT. PokerStars has just announced a big change in its Dublin event. After taking a player survey, PokerStars determined a whole bunch of people wanted to drop the buy-in down to €500+60.
Lest you think that is going to reduce the prize pool, you might want to check this out: PokerStars will still guarantee massive €250,000 prize pool.
