UKIPT Newcastle: Day 3, level 24 & 25 updates (blinds 15,000-30,000, ante 3,000)

1.08am: Linblad busts, final table set
Juha Lindblad didn't look happy when Tadgh Ryan instantly reshoved after he'd stuck his final 200,000 in across the line.

Lindblad: J♠T♣
Ryan: K♣K♦

The board ran out a dry 5♥2♠2♥6♠5♣ and Lindblad bust out in 9th. Sinclair looks set to be the chip leader going into the final table. Full wrap and chip counts to come. -- RD

1.03am: Lindbland doubles up
The very next hand it folded to Juha Lindbland and he moved all-in for just under five big blinds from the small blind with A♦J♦ and Tadgh Ryan made the call from the big blind with A♥8♣. The board of [10c]K♦6♥7♣Q♠ gave Lindbland broadway and boosted his stack to the dizzying heights of 10 big blinds. -- NW

1am: Juha Lindbland more than triples up
In the big blind Juha Lindbland was all-in blind for his last 26,000, it folded to James Morris who raised to 63,000, Richard Sinclair then made it 154,000 and Morris folded. On their backs:

Lindbland: 9♥4♥
Sinclair: 6♣5♣

The board ran out 9♣3♦8♣Q♠2♥ and despite Sinclair flopping a gutshot straight flush draw, Lindbland held on to boost his stack to over 140,000. -- NW

12.50am: Sinclair making them sweat
With Juha Lindbland so short, chip leader Richard Sinclair has taken down four pots in a row. -- NW

12.40am: Tim Slater doubles through Juha Lindbland
From middle position Tim Slater opened to 75,000 and then from the cut-off Juha Lindbland moved all-in for around 500,000, it got back to Slater and he said: "Don't you know how tight I am? If you've got aces I'll puke, but I call." It was Slater who was at risk all-in for 432,000 and he showed first turning over pocket kings, whilst Lindbland had A♦J♣.

The flop was 2♠8♣J♥ and Slater puffed out his cheeks, but the 7♦3♦ turn and river kept him in front and left Lindbland with about 40,000. -- NW

LEVEL UP: BLINDS 15,000-30,000, ante 3,000

12.16am: Break time
The remaining nine players are on a 15 minute break. -- NW

12.10am: Big pot goes to Verma
From the cut off Rajesh Verma made it 71,000 to play and Barry Foley made the call from the big blind. The flop was K♣9♣K♠ and both players checked to see the 2♠ on fourth street. Once again Foley checked but he insta called the 111,000 bet from Verma.

The river was the 4♣ and it again checked to the raiser who fired out a bet of 128,000. It didn't look like Foley liked it but he made the call, Verma rolled over A♥A♠ and Foley nodded, Tim Slater said: "You've got ace-nine right?" And Foley nodded and showed A♣9♥. -- NW

12am: The waiting game
There's been little action of note so far during nine handed play, with no hand making it past the flop. -- NW

11.50pm: Play back underway
Here's the seat draw of the final nine players, for current chip counts click here.

Seat 1: Juha Lindblad
Seat 2: Tadgh Ryan
Seat 3: Rajesh Verma
Seat 4: Rakesh Paul Gupta
Seat 5: James Morris
Seat 6: Barry Foley
Seat 7: Richard Sinclair
Seat 8: Tim Slater
Seat 9: Jonathan Gawith

There's 24 minutes left of the current level. -- NW

11.45pm: Christopher Poulton eliminated in 10th place (£3,300)
Down to just five big blinds, Christopher Poulton moved all-in from the button with 9♥8♦ and Rajesh Verma made the call from the big blind with [10d]2♦.

The board of A♣J♦2♣2♠K♦ saw Vema pad his stack and send Poulton to the rail. There's now a short delay while the final nine re-draw and combine at one table. With one more elimination the final table of eight will be set. -- NW

Christopher Poulton bags £3,300

11.35pm: Juha Lindblad doubles through Christopher Poulton
The Finnish player had jammed a couple of times and got it through uncontested. The third time he did this it was for 353,000 and after Tim Slater had tank folded (ace-ten he said), Christopher Poulton tank caled with A♦J♠ which was behind Lindblad's A♥K♠.

The flop of 4♥9♦K♦ all but sealed the double up for Lindblad and the K♥ turn card certainly did, with the meaningless 7♠ completing the board. After the hand Poulton was left with 120,000. -- NW

11.25pm: Slow going
Action has slowed down since this level kicked in and there's been few pots of note. The average stack is currently 831,000 (34.25bbs). There's a distinct divide between the stacks with three players (Richard Sinclair, Rakesh Paul Gupta and Rajesh Verma) all well above average, Barry Foley hanging around average and the rest below average. -- NW

11.15pm: Chip counts
I've just updated the chip counts page, Richard Sinclair still leads the way with around 1.62m the short stack is Juha Lindblad but even he has 14 big blinds, although with play five handed those forced bets come round quicker. - NW
