2008 World Series: Ruthenberg takes bracelet for Germans

As we head into the weekend at the World Series, the PokerStars family has another bracelet to celebrate.

PokerStars.de Shooting Star Sebastian Ruthenberg won the $5,000 Seven Card Hi-Lo World Championship. Ruthenberg battled with Chris "Jesus" Ferguson for three hours before claiming the bracelet and $328,756. Congratulations, Sebastian.

Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein also cashed in the event. His 14th place finish earned him $18,401. Greenstein has already made two final tables and won a bracelet in this year's Series.

In other news, Team PokerStars Pro Chad Brown has recorded his fourth cash of the 2008 World Series. He placed 16th in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event for $4,680. Last year, Brown tied the record for the most World Series cashes in a single year with eight in-the-money finishes.

Today will mark Day 2 of the $10,000 Omaha 8/b World Championship. Team PokerStars Pro has several players still alive in the event. Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Greg Raymer will all return today to shoot for the final table.

Good luck to all of the players this weekend.
