No Sunday Million???? How about 200 World Series Seats?

wsop2009_thn.gifIt's enough to strike dread in the hearts of thousands. It's as if Christmas was canceled. It is, in fact, a pretty sad scene. This week's Sunday Million has been canceled. Sorry.

Oh, but wait. If you're sad, there is this little tournament going on at the very same time. So, if you don't have anything to do and feel like playing a tournament that is guaranteeing 200 seats to the World Series of Poker, we might be able to help.

Yep, that's right. This Sunday at 16:30 ET, PokerStars is holding its annual mega satellite to the World Series. This isn't some qualifier you're going to have to win to get your seat. Place in the top 200 (or maybe even lower!) and you will win your WSOP package.

PokerStars is also offering double VIP Player Points for playing in the big one this weekend. The buy-in is an affordable $370, but if you'd like to get in even cheaper, PokerStars is running satellites to the mega for as little as $2.20 or 460 Frequent Player Points.

If you're new to the idea of qualifying for the World Series, it goes like this: You place in the top 200 of this Sunday's tournament and PokerStars will give you a prize package worth $12,000. That will get you your World Series Main Event buy-in, hotel accommodation, and $1,000 in cash for expenses.

For all the details you'll need, just head on over to the PokerStars World Series satellites page.

You can find the mega satellite and all the feeder qualifiers under the Events > WSOP tab in the PokerStars tournament lobby.
