WSOP Event #14: Negreanu dominant in final three

wsop2009_thn.gifTeam PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu has just enjoyed a rush to send him clear chip leader with just three left in this final of the WSOP $2,500 Six-handed Limit event.

Soon after the blinds went up to 13,000-25,000, he won the biggest pot of the event on after four betting and getting two callers to see a 9♥5♦2♠ flop. He bet again and got more calls, then fired again on the 9♠ turn. This time only Brock Parker called - and then he folded when Negreanu bet once more on the [10c] river.

Then the Canadian was at it again. Holding pocket jacks, he filled up a full house on the river and scooped another big pot of Parker.

Next it was Kevin Hong's turn to feel the Negreanu pressure. On a board reading K♣[10c]7♣4♦Q♦ Hong made a crying call. Negreanu's K♦8♣ was good.

Hong was then short-stacked and was eliminated in fourth place for $60,885 when his K-Q never caught up with Brock Parker's pocket fives, which went on to make a set... and then quads on the river!
