WSOP Event #38: Kravchenko, Negreanu in the money
Before today they each had four 2009 WSOP cashes behind them, and now Team PokerStars Pros Alexander Kravchenko and Daniel Negreanu have both done it again.
They have eased into the money spots in the $2,000 Limit, with the $3,953 they're guaranteed adding to WSOP winnings of $310,000 for Negreanu, and $86,000 for Kravchenko. The winner in this event, which still has 40 runners in the hunt, will pocket $190,770.
Kravchenko just did his chances no harm when he got into a big pot with Phil Hellmuth on his right. They bet all the way to the river, and on the board of 5♦2♣7♣6♣6♥ Hellmuth showed 7-10, but the Russian had him all the way with J-J, much to Hellmuth's amazement.
Negreanu had been enoying his seat by the rail but was dismayed to be plucked out by tournament staff for a move. Shortly after, he defended his big blind against a short-stack - who promptly flopped a royal flush in spades.
