WSOP Event #50: Team Pros in final firefight

wsop2009_thn.gifThis is one of those posts that's going to have to happen fast, because its subject is happening so fast, it could change before we his publish.

At this hour, all three Team PokerStars Pros who made it through to Day 2 of the $1,500 Limit Shootout are on the verge of making it to the final table. Humberto Brenes, Jose Barbero, and Josephus Van Den Bijgaart could possibly all be sitting at tomorrow's final table if the next hour or so goes to plan.

Right now, Jose Barbero is heads up at his table. He holds the chip lead and is trying to put his opponent away. Josephus Van Den Bijgaart, the Team Pro from Holland is three handed but holds a massive lead over his opponents.

A few feet away, Humberto Brenes has lost a few hands and no long holds the lead in his three-handed match. It would only take a few hands to get it back, though, so we're not ruling anything out.

The other tables are star-studded affairs, as well, so tomorrow's final table could be a good one...again, if all goes to plan.

Elsewhere, Daniel Negreanu's post-dinner $50,000 HORSE play hasn't been treating him well. He is down to 133,000. Barry Greenstein, meanwhile has moved up to the top ten in chips. Chad Brown, Bill Chen, and Alexander Kravchenko are all still alive and kicking with 75 players remaining.
