WSOP Event #50: Team Pros shooting it out

That was the cattle call yesterday as nearly 600 people made their way into WSOP Event #50, a $1,500 Limit Hold'em shootout. The public address system advertisement made it sound almost too easy. We've all won a couple in a row before, so making it three for a bracelet was a sirens' call.

By night's end, it was clear that simply winning one wasn't as easy as the barker made it sound. Among the 64 people who won their table and made it into the cash are three Team PokerStars Pros. Humberto Brenes, Jose Barbero, and Josephus Van Den Bijgaart all managed to put a limit hold'em beatdown on their table.

This afternoon, all three have a chance to win their second table and advance to tomorrow's final. As of right now, they are guaranteed $4,350. It doesn't matter whether they finish eighth or second at today's table. They will earn the same amount.

Win today, though, and they will guarantee themselves at least $13,000 and have a shot at the $195,000 first prize.

Not bad for winning a few SNGs.
