WSOP 2012: The Poker Princess Palace
We always hear about fellow poker players renting houses in Vegas for the WSOP. What could be better than a "full house" of friends partying in Sin City?
Well, how about "four queens," staying in Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso's mansion?
The Team PokerStars Pro recently purchased her dream home in Vegas and invited fellow Team PokerStars Pros Vanessa Selbst and Liv Boeree, as well as Maria Ho, to stay with her for the WSOP. That's a total of $11,872,282 in live lifetime tournament cashes under one roof. The house has already been the source of some run-good. Selbst placed fourth in Event #2: $1,500 No-Limit, for $161,345.
You'd think there might be some issues with four women all in one house. Are there fights over who takes too long in the bathroom?
"That's not an issue," said Boeree, "We each have our own suite with a private bathroom."
We asked Liv who's the messiest.
"Oh that's me without question," she said.
Maria Ho concurs.
"Liv will admit to you that she is the messiest," she said. "So far she's kept the mess to just her room, but I can see it becoming a problem in a couple of weeks."
Who's the best cook?
"Vanessa Selbst," Ho said. "The morning of the $1,500, Vanessa made omelets for the whole house. She makes a mean breakfast. I guess they were lucky omelets."
These girls like to have a good time too. Rousso threw a housewarming party last Friday. Some of the guests included Jason Koon, Scott Seiver, Faraz Jaka, Michael, "Timex," McDonald, Justin Bonomo, Jennifer Harman, and Jonathan Duhamel.
Boeree filled us in on some of the amenities in "Vanessa's dream house."
"We've got a ping pong, table, a golf green, basketball courts, beach volleyball, tennis courts. It's really amazing," she said.
